Mecha:
Blu Duel
"A unit developed by Actaeon Industries based on the GAT-X102 Duel. Its back is equipped with large thrusters and is enhanced with exceptional mobility and armor. Excels in close-quarters combat with weapons concealed inside its shoulder armor, arms, and underside of its shield. Further, in contrast to the Assault Shroud on ZAFT's original Duel, the Blu Duel's reinforced armored entire body has PS armor."
Verde Buster
"A unit developed by Actaeon Industries based on the GAT-X103 Buster. The cannons that were on its hips were moved to the shoulders so the hips were equipped with newly developed beam cannons. With the increase in firepower, reinforced armor, and its bayonettes, it's close-combat ability has been upped considerably."
Characters:
Edmund du Clos (in addition to previously posted info)
"Bachelor. Retired from the army when the war ended in C.E. 71 and was appointed security personnel in the DSSD's Technology Development Center on the outskirts of Fortaleza, South America. At the time he retired, he had been a lieutenant commander. Has a strong sense of responsibility and takes good care of others. Because of that, he is the kind of person who gets unnecessarily involved in things. And so when his sister's son was orphaned, he offered to raise the boy himself. As someone who was once a soldier, he naturally has much resentment towards his ZAFT battlefield rivals."
Mudie Holcroft

Apocalypse 0079 episode 3 summary UPDATED
Tsutaya Online has a synopsis of the the final episode of MS IGLOO, "Spirits Returning To Thunder":
"December 31st, UC 0079. The guns at the Battle Of A Baoa Qu roared at last. The blaze of combat can be seen everywhere. Meanwhile, the blueprints of a mysterious mobile armor are displayed on the main monitor of the Jotunheim's bridge, the MA-05Ad Big Lang (or 'Rang', 'Lung', 'Rung', etc). Frustrated, Colonel Caspen hands out defense HQ instructions to the crew on the bridge starting with Captain Prochnow. They are ordered to defend E-Field with the mobile armor..."
Edit: Fixed the last line. E-Field is apparently a place (one of A Baoa Qu's four defense areas) and not a fancy new technological gimmick. Thanks to Mark Simmons for catching that.
SD Gundam G Gen Portable site update
The System page is up.
Wings Of Rean site update
More screenshots from episode 3 are available as well as a profile of the Shinden:
"The Houjou army's new model Aura Battler, the successor of the Raiden. Dramatically improves on the Raiden's potential with strong Aura power despite its easy handling. Armed with a long spear and two swords on its hips. Sakomizu assigns units to Upper Earthers Rouri and Kanamoto."
Toon Zone Toonami interview
Over at Toon Zone, an audio interview with Toonami's Sean Akins & Jason DeMarco touches on several topics, including the current situation with Cartoon Network and Gundam. The Gundam-relevant discussion starts about 32 minutes in. Based on what's said, the chances of SEED Destiny airing look slim. Also admitted is that, outside of Gundam Wing, none of the Gundams broadcast have ever really hit it off with audiences.

The official Japanese site for Mobile Ops, known in Japan as "Gundam: Operation Troy", pre-opened today.

Gundam SEED goes theatrical UPDATED
Rumors on 2ch said to be from the Sony Music Anime Fes' 06 are that it was announced that there'll be a Gundam SEED movie.
It is known, through a radio commercial for this month's Newtype, that the magazine has "big Gundam SEED news" though early issues don't appear to have come out yet to confirm what exactly that news is.
Edit: Sunrise confirms the rumors, stating this will be the first completely original Gundam feature film since Gundam F91 came out 15 years ago. Mitsuo Fukuda will be the director.
Update 2: Based on people who attended the Anime Fes, Shinn Asuka, Cagalli Yula Atha, Lacus Clyne, Athrun Zara, and Kira Yamato were featured with narration "their path takes us.." to a screen officially announcing the theatrical production. TM Revolution apparently topped off the event by saying "See ya at the movies" to the crowd.
