It also has a speaking voice performed by Sanae Takagi with 21 different quotes as well as Kunio Okawara's sealed signature. Only 1,000 units are being produced. The estimated cost is 99,800 yen though it's stated this could change. The sale date is October 15th.

TM Revolution for SEED Destiny OP
In an official announcement people knew was coming, Sunrise's site states that TM Revolution will be doing the opening theme song for Gundam SEED Destiny. The title of the tune will be "ignited".

Gundam SEED Limited Edition follow-up
Earlier, it was revealed that the Limited Edition of Gundam SEED Vol. 1 would come with the Gundam SEED Complete Best CD. Someone on Animeondvd.com's boards who bought an early release copy reports that the CD doesn't include See-Saw's "Anna Ni Issho Datta No Ni".

This isn't too surprising as the track only appeared on the limited edition version of Complete Best and not the regular edition of the CD.

New SEED Destiny MS & info UPDATED
More info spilling out as reported from the ongoing Seed Netabare threads.

Characters
Sting Oakley - The pilot of the Chaos Gundam. A special forces member of the Earth Alliance, he sneaks in the night previous to the launching ceremony of the Minerva at Armory One.
Stellar Loussier - The pilot of the Gaia Gundam. Also a special forces member of the Earth Alliance. Behaves like an ordinary girl, but shows abnormal strength during combat. For some reason, she wears a ZAFT uniform belt.
Auel Neider - The pilot of the Abyss Gundam. Another special forces member of the Earth Alliance who sneaks into Armory One.
Lunamaria Hawke - Coordinator and crew member of ZAFT's latest ship Minerva. Wears the red elite uniform like Shin Asuka. She is also a MS pilot and uses ZAFT's latest MS, the Zaku Warrior.

While the pilot of the Saviour Gundam isn't mentioned officially, it's rumored that it'll be Athrun Zala. A pic of the cast members introduced up 'til now, including the three new pilots.

Finally, pics of all the MS:
All the new Gundams are ZAFT-made and developed as "second stage" MS.
The Impulse's corefighter uses a similar system as the Crossbone Gundam's. With the Force Silhouette, the cockpit is attached to the Silhouette itself.

ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam - The high mobility mode when Impulse Gundam is equipped with the Force Silhouette. Main weapons are beam saber and beam rifle.
ZGMF-X56S/β Sword Impulse Gundam - Impulse Gundam in its close-combat mode, "Sword Silhouette". Equipped with beam boomerang and anti-ship swords.
ZGMF-X56S/γ Blast Impulse Gundam - Impulse Gundam in its mid-range combat mode, "Blast Silhouette". Equipped with long range beam cannons and rail guns.
ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam - ZAFT's latest MS equipped with the "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System". In MA mode, it specializes in high mobility combat. It was developed later than the other 4 Gundam. The "2" in X23 means aviation-related while "3" refers to the research number.
ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam - ZAFT's latest MS equipped with "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System". Equipped with giant claws on both legs and large firearms. Specializes in assault combat.
ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam - ZAFT's latest MS equipped with "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System". It can transform into MA mode for marine use. Equipped with beam weapons and lance, enabling it to deal with various situations. The "3" in X31 means marine-related
ZGMF-X88S Gaia Gundam - ZAFT's latest MS equipped with "Deuterion Beam Energy Supply System". It can transform into a 4-legged MA. Specializes in land combat. The "8" in X88 means 4-legged MS/MA.

These two were rumored more than once on boards but not mentioned on Gunota because I thought the names were too silly to be true but they've turned out to be real:
ZGMF-1000 Zaku Warrior - A new generation ZAFT MS developed after the armistice, the first-stage model of the "New Millennium series". It's possible to exchange equipment and armament in a variety of battle conditions. The ZAFT force's next main MS.
ZGMF-1001 Zaku Phantom - A high-end version of the Zaku Warrior and primarily a commander class MS. The same equipment and armament can be interchanged between it and the Zaku Warrior. Many personal color versions of it exist.

 MS IGLOO update
MS IGLOO officially kicked off today in Japan by showing both episodes 1 and 2 at the Bandai Museum. Paralleling the start, the official website has been updated as well.

First, 2 new characters are introduced along with their pics:
Lt Jg. Hideto Washiya - 23 year old test pilot. Apparently joined in a similar project with Oliver May in the past. Pic available at the official MS IGLOO site.

Lt. Alessandro Hemme - Chief gunnery aboard Jotunheim. Typical old-style military personel who believes artillery bombardment is the key in ship battles. Pic available at the official MS IGLOO site.

A pic of the Zaku II appearing in episode 2 is also available. New screenshots can also be seen in the Introduction and Story sections.

Brief summary of the first 2 episodes courtesy of the MS IGLOO site.

Ep 1 - UC 0079. Support ship Jotunheim was transporting Jormungand, a prototype anti-ship cannon, to Side 5 (Loum) from Side 3. The 603rd Engineering Test Corps, the crew of the Jotunheim, consisted of college grads like Oliver May, elite officer Monique Cadillac, and original personnel from when the Jotunheim was a cargo/passenger ship, to veteran gunnery Alessandro Hemme. Both Lt. Hemme and the Jormungand await the order to fire as the battle goes on...

Ep 2 - The Jotunheim and the 603rd Engineering Test Corps were given new orders for the Earth Invasion. Their mission was to safely drop the prototype Mobile Tank Hildolfr, which was originally rejected 2 years ago, and do its evaulation test. The Komusai carrying Hildolfr decended onto Earth, but was attacked by Federation Forces. A battle begins between the Federation Force and Hildolfr.

Last, the site listed the seiyuu:
Oliver May - Hideo Ishikawa (Ryoma Nagare from various recent Getta Robo OVA's)
Monique Cadillac - Miki Nagasawa (Para Shisu from Gundam X, Maki Izumi from Nadesico)
Martin Prochnow - Shozo Iizuka (Ryu Jose from MS Gundam, Genya Tachibana from Millennium Actress)
Albert Schacht - Tamio Ohki (Theo Fairchild from Gundam F91, Miwa from Daimos)
Ehrlic Kruger - Hiroshi Matsumoto (Donny Wong from Rahxephon, Destroyer Dom from SD Gundam Force)
Hideto Washiya - Jun Fukuyama (Keith Laijie from Turn A Gundam, Jack Bayard from 0087 Green Divers)
Alessandro Hemme - Katsuhisa Houki (Garcia from Gundam SEED)
Demezier Sonnen - Masuo Amada (Pippin from Berserk, Monev the Gale from Trigun)
Federico Czariano - George Nakata (Folken from Escaflowne, Arucard from Hellsing)
Jean Xavier - Mikako Takahashi (Saki from Gear Fighter Dendoh)
Domenico Marquez - Katsuya Shiga
Congel Pepuner - Tetsuo Sakaguchi
Kim Harami - Kanako Tateno
Zen Waterloo - Naoki Imamura
TV voice, Zaku I pilot, communication officer - Hirohiko Kakegawa (Oi Nyung from V Gundam)
Jackson - Kazunari Tanaka (Hachimaki from Planetes)
Borogonov - Hisao Egawa (Yassaba Jin from Overman King Gainer)
Marion - Kouji Haramaki
Stuart - Masashi Yabe

An additional observation is that a significant number of the character names seem to be direct references to the cast and characters from the WWII U-boat film Das Boot.

Bakunetsumaru upgrade

SEED Destiny News
Courtesy of Sunrise's press release, the following event and news are confirmed for SEED Destiny.

SEED Destiny Festival - On Oct 3rd, they will be hosting a SEED Destiny premiere event in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Sendai, and Hiroshima. A total of 20,000 fans Japan-wide will able to attend. Key seiyuu and artists will appear at the Tokyo International Forum in which the live feed will be broadcast to rest of the cities.

SEED Destiny ending theme
- Nami Tamaki as been officially confirmed to perform the ED theme for SEED Destiny (title yet to be announced). She will be appearing at the SEED Destiny Festival as well. She has recently returned from her USA tour, which lasted 20 days and will launch a Japan-wide tour starting in August.

HCM Pro Gundam Mk II
A color pic of this (Titans version) is up at Hobbynet.

PS2 SEED release date
NCSX shows the upcoming PS2 SEED game, listed there as "Never Ending Tomorrow", has a release date of October 7th.

Dendoh LaGOWE
Regarding the description of the Gaia Gundam as being "similar to the LaGOWE that appeared in Dendoh", reader Alicia Ashby sends in the following helpful info as well as a scan of Gear Fighter Dendoh's "LaGOWE" (or "Ragou" in romaji):

"The image linked to on your site does not depict Lagowe. It is the cover of Dendoh DVD 6, which I believe would cover the Lagowe story arc. In Dendoh, Lagowe is a two-headed monster dog with wings, who attacks the protagonists and injures their allies."

So assuming the descriptions from Pam's Homepage hold up as well as the names did, I guess we can expect the Gaia Gundam's MA mode to look something like that.

1/1 Scopedog
If you haven't seen it, there's a blog, Nandemo Tsukuru Yo, and a photo diary chronicling the construction of a 1/1 Scopedog from Armored Trooper VOTOMS. Work on it began around the second half of February. Pretty neat.

More MSiA's, Destiny Gundams confirmed
Horikawa-co.com confirms the names of the Gundams as reported earlier by Pam's Homepage:

MSiA Blast Impulse Gundam (middle of November, 1,500 yen)
MSiA Saviour Gundam (middle of November, 1,500 yen)
MSiA Chaos Gundam (middle of December, 1,500 yen)
MSiA Abyss Gundam (middle of December, 1,500 yen)
MSiA Gaia Gundam (middle of December, 1,500 yen)

And so I don't have to write it down twice, I also posted an explanation for why I decided to go with "Saviour Gundam" as the English spelling over "Saber Gundam" at Gundam Watch.

SEED Destiny MSiA's
Mentioned on 2ch's Omocha board's MSiA thread are listings at Amiami Trading Card & Hobby for an MSiA Force Impulse Gundam and an MSiA Sword Impulse Gundam. Both are listed at 1,575 yen for the middle of October. No more Advanced MSiA for the sequel?

SEED Destiny Gundams?
There's a number of rumors about SEED Destiny at the moment but the big one that just popped up in Japan is details about other Gundams. It's not clear to me if these are all confirmed (though the Impulse variations have been mentioned elsewhere before now) so take the new ones with a grain of salt. From Pam's Homepage...

Blast Impulse Gundam - The Impulse's Silhouette equivalent to the Strike's Launcher equipment. Has shoulder-mounted missle pods (Not mentioned is the 3rd variation which has been brought up at a few places like Gundam Imperfect Web: The unsurprising Sword Impulse Gundam).

Saber Gundam (the kana could also be interpreted as "Saviour Gundam") - Transforms into a flight form mobile armor.

Chaos Gundam - Transforms into a mobile armor whose appearance can be likened to the Bigro.

Abyss Gundam - Transforms into a disc shape.

Gaia Gundam - Transforms into a 4-legged mobile armor. This is described as being similar to the "LaGOWE that appeared in Dendoh". Not quite sure what that means but someone on a 2ch thread pointed to this pic to try and shed some light on things.

PS2 SEED official site UPDATED
Owaranai Asu E's official site is up. I assume more content will be up later as this is said to be a "pre-site" public presentation.

Another Famitsu article on the game turned up as well.

SEED Special Edition 2 ED theme
Sunrise's official site, in a news item announcing the 2nd SEED Special Edition's airdate, also mentioned that the ending theme of the work will be "Akatsuki No Kuruma". SEED fans will remember it as an insert song from the TV series.

SEED R1 DVD review
Animeondvd.com has an early, positive review of the regular edition region 1 release of Gundam SEED Vol. 1.

Fukudaism & Takedaism
Yesterday's Mainichi Newspaper online had a brief article where director Mitsuo Fukuda and producer Seiji Takeda revealed the theme of SEED Destiny. Fukuda said the theme will be "ideology conflict". Takeda said, "Unlike the previous series where it emphasized on human relations, this will be told in a bigger scale by stepping into the mechanism leading to war such as economic, religious, and racial problems. We want viewers to relate this with the current Palenstine problem and the ongoing war problem."

Other note about this article: Full Metal Alchemist will have a feature film in Summer 2005. The movie setting will take place 2 years after the final TV episode.

Gundam SEED-MSV Perfect Guide
Mediaworks published a new book titled "Gundam SEED-MSV Perfect Guide". It will cover SEED-MSV's story and products previously featured in Dengeki Hobby Magazine. Along with a complete MS encyclopedia and tech tree, the book includes all characters.

Priced at 590 yen, this book comes with info regarding SEED Destiny and the Zeta movies.

Gundam's re-opening photo report
Gundam/Gunpla fansite G-Spirit put up a photo report covering the reopening of the large retail store "Gundam's" in Osaka, which took place earlier today. A very impressive array of merchandise to be found in one place, for sure.

New GFF, Zeonography, MSiA UPDATED
At Noda-ya, the following new releases are listed:

GFF #0022 ZZ Gundam (convertible to Full Armor ZZ, 3,864 yen, end of October)
GFF #0023 Hyaku Shiki (convertible to both Hyaku Shiki Kai and Full Armor Hyaku Shiki Kai, 5,775 yen, end of December)

Double set Zeonography figures (convertible to Desert Type, 7,728 yen, end of November)
Zeonography #3005a Zaku II F2 type (yellow)
Zeonography #3005b Zaku II F2 type (green)

MSiA Rick Dom (1,575 yen, middle of October)
MSiA GM & Escape Launch (1,575 yen, middle of November)
MSiA Prototype Gundam (with TIN Cod, 1,575 yen, middle of December)
MSiA Blitz Gundam (1,260 yen, middle of November)
MSiA Duel Gundam (1,260 yen, middle of December)

Update: It'd seem that Noda-ya got the numbering wrong and that the ZZ and Hyaku Shiki GFF's are #0022 and #0023, respectively.

SEED Special Edition article UPDATED
AV Watch has an article covering the SEED Special Edition video releases. While there's not really anything there that hasn't already been mentioned before, it has a nice collection of large pics of the three DVD covers and the boxes so someone out there might dig that.

Thanks to Natsume Maya for catching something I missed the first time I read the article: it states that unlike the other two, the 3rd Gundam SEED SE won't be broadcast on TV and is to be a DVD-only release.
