More Climax UC's progress mode
ITmedia +D has an article on upcoming game, Climax UC's progress mode. Player start as either Earth Federation or Delaz Fleet, then move on to different factions (AEUG, Titans, Axis, Neo-Zeon, Londo Bell) based on the path each player takes. At the same time the characters' traits are passed on to the next generation as the 2nd generation character continues on with the progress mode.

Winners Forever 21Century
Several online shops like Animate now list a new album titled "Winners Forever 21Century" by infix. The album will include 14 re-recorded songs (with "Winners Forever" as one of them) and 2 new songs. One of the new songs will be the official theme song to "ROBO-ONE" robot competition in 2010. The CD jacket cover will feature V Gundam and will come out on March 24 for 3000 yen.

Zeta III theme song
Crown Records confirms that Gackt's "Love Letter" will be the theme song for the last Zeta film. The single version comes out March 1st, paired with the B-side "Dybbuk", but the tune previously appeared on his album of the same name released last February.

ACE 2 Premium Disc contents
ACE 2's Premium ACE Disc is revealed to contain special interviews with anime directors (Takashi Imanishi, Shoji Kawamori, Ryosuke Takahashi, Yoshiyuki Tomino) giving their thoughts on robot anime and the game, a 5.1ch version of the opening movie, TV commercials and promo videos, and an "original sound drama" that covers the unknown pasts of characters Tak and Marina in the period before ACE 2's war.

Zeta II wins Digital Content Grand Prix award
ITmedia D+ Games reported on the awards ceremony for the 20th Digital Content Grand Prix, a yearly contest for cutting edge media and services that promote the digital content industry. In the domestic category's Digital Content class, Zeta Gundam II: Lovers won an award for excellence. Other winners in that category:

UMD MS IGLOO
Both Sunrise news and MS IGLOO site announced that the first 3 MS IGLOO episodes will be avaible on Sony PSP's UMD video on April 27. Single UMD disk will contain all 3 episodes for 7140 yen. The extra footages included in the DVD release will not be included.

Dengeki will be releasing couple books for March.

Mobile Suit Illustrated 2006 - 2625 yen
- This will be the updated version of Mobile Suit Illustrated 2003. Over 700 MS will be covered including MS IGLOO, Advance of Zeta, and all of TV series. Book cover illustration will be once again done by Hajime Katoki.

Character Encyclopedia 2006 - 3465 yen
- This will be the updated version of Character Encyclopedia 2000. It will include characters from SEED DESTINY, side stories like Astray and Advance of Zeta, and games. Book cover illustration will be done by Hisashi Hirai.

American artists cover Gundam songs UPDATED
The Char Custom Blog reports in its coverage of the latest issue of Gundam Ace about an upcoming Gundam cover album by an outfit known as "Z x R". Guitarist Richie Kotzen (formerly of bands like Poison and Mr. Big) confirmed in an October news posting on his site that he has been working on the project, which will include special guests and a live tour to support it beginning in Japan in March. The list of songs being covered:

Famitsu's site has a few more pics and details: character personality traits selected at the outset affect the upgrading of abilities like shooting and melee. Progress Mode has 9 stages total, with big changes depending on the armies you choose to join in each time period starting from UC 0079.

Steel OG Festival
ITmedia +D Games reports that, on April 22nd, the Steel OG Festival will be held. The event commemorates the release of the very first Super Robot Wars title 15 years ago, which came out for the Gameboy on April 20th, 1991. The Festival, comprised of the usual assortment of seiyuu & production team talk shows and live concert appearances, takes place at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel's Stellar Ball. Also slated is a special video that won't be shown elsewhere as well as projects to be revealed.

Over on Bandai TV's site, the 16th installment of Funnel B features the HCM-Pro Zeta Gundam.
 
 
A New Translation Review details
Mentioned last month, a few more details on the Zeta Gundam movie OST are given at HMV Japan: An undecided number of Gackt's theme songs are included in addition to Shigeaki Saegusa's BGM, making the soundtrack a 2 CD set. The 3rd disc that comes with the limited edition version is a collection of famous scenes and a booklet will contain a message from Tomino and other special contents.

Hitomi Takahashi's official site put up an announcement that her first album, "sympathy", will go on sale March 1st. It'll contain 12 tracks, including her singles "Bokutachi No Yukue", "evergreen", and "Aozora No Namida". The limited edition comes with a DVD that includes the music videos of those 3 songs.

New details for Climax U.C.
The description of the game provided at es! Toys mentions several things about the upcoming PS2 game: people who make advance orders will receive a "jacket collection", though there's no details about what exactly that is. Sunrise is supervising over a large amount of new footage made specifically for the game. The Chronicle Mode allows one to play as people such as Char & Haman as well as lead characters like Amuro & Kamille. A new element revealed for the Progress Mode is that original characters created with it can get married and pass the game on to a second generation of characters.

To commerate the release of R2 5.1ch 0083 DVD boxset, Theatres Ikebukuro will hold an all night 0083 screening on Jan 28th. The all night screening will feature 5.1ch audio and cost 2500 yen. It will start at 11pm and end at 6:10am. A talk show with director Imanishi and guests will take place as well.
