Famitsu.com put up some screens of the four Gundams in the game as well as its Gunpla Navi mode.

Amiami posted a shot of some promotional info. There'll be about 80 missions, characters will include voiceovers, and new MS that haven't been in the TV series will appear.

Edit: Amazon Japan says the game will come with a FG Gundam Exia in rollout colors.

dot-anime limited edition Gundam 00 DVD sets

The Japanese dot-anime site is offering two limited edition DVD sets for people ordering all seven volumes of Gundam 00: a 49,800 yen version with a Celestial Being mechanic uniform (MA-1 type jacket + cap) and a 45,000 yen version with a Haro & Gundam Meisters voice alarm clock (orange, with around 10 seconds of voice for each character). The special items are sent with the final volume of the set.

MSiA Gundam 00 Campaign Part II

Following the clear version MSiA Gundam Exia promo campaign, Tamashii Web posted details on how to get the Clear Color Editions of the other three Gundams' MSiA figures. Each will be respectively available via required mail order forms in one of three magazines on sale this month: Gundam Ace (Dynames), Dengeki Hobby (Kyrios), and Hobby Japan (Virtue). The ordering deadline is February 29 with delivery starting in the middle of May. The Dynames & Kyrios go for 2,500 yen and the Virtue for 3,000.

Oricon lists the Mobile Suit Gundam Movies Memorial Box as #5 on the overall weekly DVD sales charts and #1 on the weekly anime DVD charts.

 

First Gundam 00 videogame announced

Famitsu announced Mobile Suit Gundam 00 for the Nintendo DS, a 3D action game coming out March 27. The top screen is for the MS battles while the bottom is for various gauge indicators. Special attacks can be triggered by filling the Tension Gauge. After-mission conversations with characters differ depending on circumstances. Developer is BEC.

Edit 2: Treasure Capsule has the solicit info source, featuring actual pics of the MS in question. Also listed among the characters are "New pilot A", "New pilot B", and "New pilot C".

Also mentioned in the bottom lefthand corner, the 00 HG plamodel series is selling 120% compared to SEED Destiny's.

PSP Gihren's Greed Special Pack

Bandai Namco put out a press release (PDF) announcing the Gihren's Greed Special Pack: a red custom-colored PSP suitable for Char Aznable himself with the Principality Of Zeon emblem on the backside, AC adapter, battery pack, Zeon cross medal strap, and the Menace Of Axis game. Price is 25,890 yen, release date is February 7.

Akiba Blog MS bar report

Akiba Blog posted a follow-up report on the Mobile Suit bars, which opened on the 15th. According to them, Zeon was mostly full. The interior had red walls decorated with the Zeon emblem, black tables (about 14 two-person tables and 10 bar counter seats), and First Gundam was being shown with a projector. Operators (female staff) wore mono-eye t-shirts with pleated miniskirts. A Char-custom cellphone with Zaku head charger was seen on the counter as well as a Gihren Zabi-cosplaying customer. The menu had some 48 drinks and 19 food items, including the "Mass-Production Zaku" (matcha oolong tea), "Dom" (Black Russian), "Asshimar" (Orange Blossom), "Gouf Heat Rods" (squid entrails), and Luna II (fried chicken).

 

Encounters In Space MSG Box memorial screening

Commemorating the upcoming release of the Mobile Suit Gundam Theatrical Memorial Box, a screening of the third film, Encounters In Space, was held at the Kinokuniya Southern Theater in Shinjuku, Tokyo yesterday. In attendance were Yoshiyuki Tomino, Shuuichi Ikeda, Keiko Han, narrator Ichiro Nagai, and special guest Gackt, with the currently overseas Toru Furuya sending a video message. The audience of 300 were invited from the group of fans who had pre-ordered the Box. A talk show was also held featuring Kadokawa Shoten president Shinichiro Inoue, anime critic Ryusuke Hikawa, manga artist Mayu Shinjo, and comedy duo America Zarigani discussing various aspects of Gundam.

Mediaworks opens hobby store UPDATED

On the 14th, Mediaworks held a pre-opening at SuperModelers, a new hobby shop in Akihabara. Execs from Mediaworks, Arclight, Wave, Chara-Ani and Bandai's Katsumi Kawaguchi were all present for the event. The grand opening will be on January 25.

Gundam cosplay bars to open

Akiba Souken and Akiba Blog caught some signs advertising twin Gundam cosplay bars to open in Akihabara in mid-December. The "mobile suit bars", named "Zeon" and "Federal Forces", will be housed on the 4th and 5th floors, respectively, of the Zeniya building, also home to Iosys' Akihabara shop and Pash Cafe Nagomi. The bars will be centered on the worldviews of First, Z, and ZZ with mobile suit and character-based food & drinks. Applications for female staff members are currently being taken.

 

MG Unicorn Gundam pre-release looks UPDATED

Datsu! Mikkabouzu and Gunpla Secret Factory both received their MG Unicorn Gundams a week early and have been posting pics as they put theirs together.

the brilliant green's and Stephanie's official sites both posted details for the singles of their upcoming Gundam 00 theme songs. "Ash Like Snow" will come in a limited edition CD + DVD version and a standard, CD-only version. Both come with an Allelujah character ID card and each will have a different widecap sticker. "Friends" will come with its own widecap sticker and a Tieria character ID card.
