MS Sensen 0079 for Wii
The latest issue of Famitsu finally gave details on a second Gundam game for the Wii, Mobile Suit Gundam: MS Sensen (Warfront/Battle Lines) 0079, coming July 26:
- First person point-of-view.
- Take & exchange weapons from defeated enemies.
- Shooting is done by turning on aim with the pointer (Sniper mode).
- The Wiimote is used for melee attacks.
- Fierce close combat ensues when you use melee attacks at the same time as the enemy
- Before sorties, you can change the colors of your MS and its wingmen's

Developer is BEC. Series list is First, 0080, 08th MS Team, and Blue Destiny. You move with the Nunchuk stick, dash & jump with the Z button, and lock-on with C. You move aim and change direction using the pointer on the Wiimote, switch to melee with A, and fire weapons with B. 80% complete.

Toy Town Bandai Museum
As announced by Bandai, opening April 28 in Tochigi prefecture is the Toy Town Bandai Museum. This new museum will be based within the Bandai Collection Center, which has been used as a management center for Bandai's collection since 2003. They estimate 30,000 people will visit during the first year of operation.

The Museum consists mainly of 5 areas:

Toy History Museum - Consists of some 6,000 foreign and domestic pieces on display from Bandai's 28,000-item toy collection. Showcases toys made during Europe's Industrial Revolution and traditional Japanese toys, the revival of Japan's toy industry after the war with export merchandise, the birth of character merchandising & TV games, to the modern era.

Edison Museum - Boasts approximately 300 of Thomas Edison's inventions.

Project exhibit space - 1,000 valuable & rare railroad models that are hard-to-find these days.

Hall - At the entrance of the Museum is the 6 meter RX-78-2 Gundam bust and a Museum shop with toys and science education materials related to the collection.

Outdoors space - Near the entrance, is the largest steam automobile in Japan (the 1919-era, British-made "Pendle Princess"). In the lawn garden, they also have a 1/6 scale mini version of the Bandai Express electric railway gasoline 101 type, discontinued in 1969.

 

Wooden model Gundam
A week ago Bandai announced a platinum Gundam. Now comes a wooden model of RX-78-2 Gundam. Amiami lists a wooden Gundam developed by Plex. Each model is hand carved coming with a special box along with a beam rifle and shield (hyper bazooka is not included). Currently scheduled for mid-July release. It is priced at 48,000 yen.

News from this week's Famitsu, confirmed on the official site, says SD Gundam G Generation Cross Drive is delayed until an unspecified Summer date.

 

MS Gundam TV individual DVD release dates
Sunrise gives a schedule for the upcoming individual volume DVD release of Mobile Suit Gundam TV:
Vol. 1, 2 - June 22
Vol. 3, 4 - July 27
Vol. 5, 6 - August 24
Vol. 7, 8 - September 25
Vol. 9, 10, 11 - October 26

Each volume will be 6,000 yen, contain 4 episodes (excepting the 3-episode Vol. 11), and an 8-page insert.

There'll be orders accepted at the Shizuoka Hobby Show for a Special Ver. of the 1/20 Scopedog (June, 7,350 yen). The SD Sangokuden line is a celebration of BB Senshi's 20th anniversary with a Romance Of The Three Kingdoms-based story, which includes promotion aimed at foreign audiences (Chinese & English-language websites are planned to launch). Action Base 2 (black) for 1/144 scale kits comes out in May for 473 yen. Action Base 1 (Char version) comes out June for 735 yen. The MG Archive ~Road To 100~ publication is the name of the 36-page book whose details were mentioned previously here.

 

Gundam World 2007
4gamer.net gives details about Gundam World 2007 in Nasu Highland Park. Taking place from April 21 to August 31, this year's Gundam World event will have on exhibit actual size RX-78 and Char's Zaku heads (4 meters tall), Gundam and Zeta Gundam cockpits, a 1/144 White Base (1.8 meters long) and a large-scale diorama recreating a famous scene from the anime.
